Epiphone Rivoli Bass EB232

SN: 0195148

Notes: This classic instrument is the kind Paul Samwell Smith played in the Yardbird's. Some of the amazing licks and runs he did on the Rivoli were the first bass parts I tried to learn. The amazing deep tone of the neck position pick-up on this and the Gibson EB series basses was the original inspiration for adding the neck position pick-up on my old P-bass; which later was incorporated into the Yamaha Attitude series basses. The small switch on the face of this bass does the same thing the push/push switch on my Attitude basses does for the tone of that pick-up. It's strung with Nylon tape wound strings as they used to be strung back in the sixties for that super low vintage tone. This is an old, all original collectors item that Yamaha got me for my birthday several years ago, when they found out I was looking for one. It's one of my most valued instruments.
